Hi! Nice to meet you!
I'm Diana...

This is my assistant (and second child), Amelia, who sometimes joins in on virtual sessions. She has agreed to keep the snoring to a minimum.

Thanks for checking out my online therapy practice!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas (license 72367), Colorado (license LPC.0016059) and a registered Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida (registration TPMC45). I am also a Texas Certified School Counselor. Most importantly, I am a mom to a human and a canine.
I have had the pleasure of working with adolescents in the school system for many years and started my career as a middle school teacher at an alternative K-12 campus in Alief ISD in Houston, Texas. I completed my Master's Degree in Counseling and became a mental health counselor at a middle school and a high school for a charter school in Houston. During my last seven years in K-12, I ran counseling groups, worked individually with students, and did family systems work. I have worked with trauma including anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, suicide ideation, issues related to bullying, social media, natural disasters and many other crises. I also have a significant amount of experience with Section 504 (as a previous 504 coordinator) and I have also been part of many IEP meetings. It has been an emotional, exciting and rewarding adventure but excited to now be in private practice!
I have enjoyed expanding my work from adolescents to adults through my private practice. I have been providing virtual therapy to teens and adults across the states of Texas, Colorado and Florida for approximately the past seven years. Recently my work has expanded to trauma based therapy using Brainspotting in individual and group settings. I never really truly knew how amazing and cool the brain really is until I was trained in Brainspotting.
